Independent School of Thought is an educational pathway that serves as an alternative to traditional public and private schools. The school is currently a secular cottage school, or hybrid school, that supports families who homeschool by offering structured class days two days per week.

Curricular choices at IST are based on student interest, project based learning, discovery based learning, and foundational knowledge standards. Helping students prepare for real life and helping students discover their uniqueness and personal niches are Independent School of Thought's primary goals.
